Mahogany Deck

This Mahogany Deck was previously coated with a film forming deck paint. Mahogany is a hardwood that requires a specific stain that will both rehydrate the wood and provide protection. An oil based stain such as Armstrong Clarke Mahogany deck stain is perfectly suited to the task. Removing a failed film forming stain is a laborious process. In some circumstances a stripper agent is required to remove stubborn coatings. In this case only sanding was required, our festool rotex sander made the task a bit easier to accomplish.
